1. I bought 26 muffin cups from a dollar shop ($3). I used two different colours and she enjoyed sorting out cups colours when we finished to play.
2. A long piece of paper (I used one from her sketchboard).
How to make this ?
Simply draw 26 circle shape using one of the muffin cup as an example. Finally, I written the letter on each circles and on the cups as well. I choose to write the capitals letter and lower case too but it is up to you.
The game is pretty simple. We split the cups between her and myself. Everyone has a turn and the first one who match the cups on the alphabet chart win. Well, she can also play this game alone but she prefers to play with me. She is not 3 years old yet and matching the 26 letters still require too much patience for her small age. This is few pictures of how it looks. The good thing for mums – you can easily store this game. Simply pin the alphabet on the wall and stack the muffin cups together and store in their original box or in a paper bag until next time. I hope you enjoy this simple game ! Fun, cheap, cute and educative.
