Who do not have an afternoon energy crash at work with a sugar craving feeling? Unfortunately most of us had this feeling at least one time a week. Some days you will manage to fix your craving with an apple or a banana but some days it won’t be enough. There is always those days when you are really starving on a sweet treat and you are ending up eating a chocolate bar or a muffin from the nearest bakery or cafe. Of course those kind of take away snacks often contains lots of sugar, empty calories and they will not make you feel energised until dinner time.
This recipe is the solution for those days.
I am preparing those little mugcakes all the time. I am making lots of small jars for those days when I am really starving on sugar and when I do not have the time to bake an healthy treat.
The good thing is you have got 2 options to make this mugcake. You can use a mashed banana if you really need a sweet treat or you can switch the banana with a large egg if you are really hungry the egg will add some extra protein. If you are using a egg add 1 teaspoon of Natural sweetener to the mix or it won’t be sweet at all. A good option to replace the banana is 1 egg size 8 plus 1 teaspoon of Naturals Stevia. In the picture below I made the mugcake with a mashed banana.
The texture is really good. The chocolate is melting I used 2 square of 85% chocolate which is represent about 1.3 g of sugar per mugcake. And another good point is you will feel very full after eating this little treat – I know it looks small but trust me you will not feel hungry after eating that. And it is full of nutritious ingredients so do not wait and try this.
