I am glad you stopped by to read who I am! I am Carine Claudepierre : the writer, foodie, food photographer and videographer on this space. I created Sweetashoney.co to share with you my best sugar-free recipes, the ones that help me reset my body from sugar and restore my body energy. My passion is to create easy, nourishing , sugar-free recipes for everyone.
I found balance living a low-carb, sugar-free life that is why you will see plenty of sugar-free recipes on my blog, those are the one I eat. When I want to indulge I will switch to a paleo lifestyle authorizing myself some fruits, natural sweeteners and higher carbs vegetables like sweet potatoes. For me, life is about balance and control. You can’t live a 100% sugar-free life but you can approach sugar-free living with a wider scope that make things durable on the long run. So I live 90% sugar free and 10% paleo. That is my happy sugar-free living lifestyle.
You will still find few old recipes on this blog, containing white sugar. Those are the one I was eating before being diagnosed this diabetes. I choose to keep those recipe on the blog as they are part of my journey, they remind me where I came from, and they are the one who inspired me to develop low carb sugar free recipes.
I am also the mum of 2 kids. My kids eat clean. It means they eat refined-sugar-free, wholegrain and lots of vegetables and fruits. I am also sharing some of the recipe I create for them for all the women looking to raise their kids with no refined sugar.
Finally, I am a wife of a vegan French guy. My husband eats a plant-based diet, he is eating wholegrain, beans, pulses but no refined sugar. You will also find some of those plant-based sugar-free recipes on my blog. Apart from blogging I am a fitness lover I love running, body combat, playing with my kids and cats.
