Dairy-Free

The Dairy-Free Diet consists of removing all dairy-free products from the recipes.

What’s The Dairy-Free Diet?

On a dairy-free diet, all products made from milk are removed.

It’s common to be on a dairy-free diet when one has lactose intolerance, but there are other reasons that might lead you to follow a dairy-free diet.

When dairy-free, the following products are removed:

  • Milk
  • Butter
  • Cream
  • Cheese
  • Yogurt

And all other products derivating from the above.

A dairy-free diet does not only apply to cow products but also any dairy products from:

  • Goat Milk
  • Buffalo Milk
  • Sheep Milk
  • Camel Milk
  • etc.

What Are Alternatives To Dairy?

It’s possible to replace most dairy products with dairy-free alternatives that don’t contain lactose or casein.

The following are dairy-free alternatives:

  • Dairy-Free Milk: Coconut Milk, Almond Milk, Oat Milk, Cashew Mik, Rice Milk, Soy Milk, or Peanut Milk.
  • Dairy-Free Yogurt: Almond Yogurt, Soy Yogurt, or Coconut Yogurt are the most common alternatives.
  • Dairy-Free Cheese:  Most dairy-free cheeses are made from either cashews or a blend of plant-based protein and coconut oil.
  • Dairy-Free Butter: Plant-based butter is often made with coconut oil or olive oil.
  • Dairy-Free Cream: Dairy-Free cream is often made from soy milk, almond milk, or cashew milk.
